Foods that is required by the human body should assist us in sustaining our energy, growth, repair of damaged cells. Healthy and whole foods reduce inflammation, improve immune system and thus heal the body. Foods has a powerful impact on our health with the ability to prevent, reverse, manage and treat chronic health conditions and disease. This concept is known back in centuries ago by Hippocrates. In holistic well-being it involves understanding the connection between body and mind - discipline and control - eating regularly to maintain stable energy levels in the body throughout the day. Understanding our hunger cues together with consistent choices align with our long-term health goals.
I am very lucky to share time and learn from the Executive Sous Chef: Danita S. in Chiva-Som how awareness of what and how much we eat creates a deeper meaning in our everyday food consumption. We both agreed that the impact of everyday food is not only physical, but it most importantly leads to improved mood, better sleep quality, increased energy levels and thus our self-confidence and self-love, and thus happiness.
